The parents stars: for a male chart, Indirect Wealth represents the father and Direct Resource represents the mother; for a female chart, Direct Wealth represents the father and Indirect Resource represents the mother. If the Indirect Wealth star is heavily restricted by Siblings, this indicates that the father's career has many setbacks, or that the person has a tense relationship with the father. Another example: if a female chart has the Direct Resource star (mother star) restricted by Wealth stars, forming a "Wealth breaks Resource" pattern, this often indicates that the mother's health is poor, or that there are economic or conceptual conflicts between the person and the mother.

The spouse star: for a male chart, Direct Wealth represents the wife; for a female chart, Direct Officer represents the husband. This is the basic setting of traditional destiny analysis, derived from the gender division of labor in ancient society: men attract spouses through economic ability, hence Wealth represents the wife; women attract spouses through virtue and propriety, hence Officer represents the husband. The state of the spouse star in the chart directly reflects marital quality. The analysis of Six Relationships requires combining Ten Gods, palaces, flourishing/decline, and favorable/unfavorable factors. For example, when looking at the father, one must look not only at the Wealth star but also at the Year Pillar (the parents palace). When looking at the children, one must look not only at the Output stars but also at the Hour Pillar (the children palace). Only by combining palaces with Ten Gods can precise judgments be made.
